Richard Spurlock, mate on Chubasco III releases a 90" White Marlin caught May 14th., 2005 by Paul Mitchell (photo below & right) of Texas. Chubasco III with Capt. Mike Russell, mate Richard and Chubasco IV with Capt. Greg Brown, mate Adam Russell took 1st. and 2nd. place in General Electric's fishing tournament for largest and most fish. Ten of Nassau's charter fishing boats participated in the mini tournament.

Congratulations to Bob Petrucelli and his wife Nancy on their catch of 11 Mahi-Mahi. Bob and Nancy fished a half-day charter on Chubasco with Capt. Malcolm (bottom left) and mate Keith (bottom right) on February 10th. 2005. Bob's Bull was 58" and Nancy's Cow was 46". Guess I was wrong, the guys occasionally do catch the big one.

Ben Stevens (left) age 17 of North Richland Hills, Texas shows off his huge 62" Yellow Fin Tuna caught with Capt. Mike Russell (right). The huge Yellow Fin Tuna was caught by Ben while fishing on Chubasco III June 3rd., 2004. The Tuna weighed in at 118 lbs. and was caught on a Avet Pro EXW 50/2 Reel and a 50lb Penn International II Rod.

Carol Kim and mate Richard show off a 62" Sailfish caught May 27th., 2004 on Chubasco III with Capt. Mike. Carol was fishing with her husband David who also hooked into a sailfish at the same time. Unfortunately David's fish threw the hook. After the photo session Carol's fish was released and swam away to fight another angler another day.

NEW RECORD FOR NASSAU
Hank & Sandra Cheves of Charleston, South Carolina are dwarfed by their 11' 3" Blue Marlin caught while fishing on Chubasco III May 30th. 2003 with Capt. Mike Russell. The huge 550lb. Blue Marlin was caught approximately 7 miles north of Nassau and Paradise Island.
The Cheves's catch broke the record for any Blue Marlin caught off a charter fishing boat out of Nassau. Unfortunately the marlin could not be released as it drowned itself during the 2 hour and 35 minute fight.
Matt & Shelley Mannino with a pair of Mahi- Mahi (Dolphin) caught off Nassau and Paradise Island on Chubasco IV with Capt. Greg Brown on February 22nd., 2004 Shelley's Female or Cow was 51" and Matt's Bull or Male was 54".
